From Bishop Fitzroy Sterling on 21/01/2010

For those of us who have had the privilege of being in worship service when John was leading; you would know that he would soon usher you into the heavenly realms, into God’s presence with his angelic voice. It did not matter how you were feeling when you came into the church, whether you were discouraged, whether you were down, whether you were in despair. John was not a preacher but his worship would bring the vilest sinner to the Lord.As tall as John was he was very humble, he would never refuse prayer and did not mind bowing down and have you laying hands on him.John tried to live a sober, godly and upright life to the best of his ability.”
